Canadian crooner Michael Buble has a little bit of a reputation for handing out his microphone to fans during live concerts, with varying results. But this time, at a recent gig at Madison Square Garden in New York City, a fan’s performance was even more mind-blowing than usual.
Apparently there was lengthy off-camera persuasion before audience member Erin agreed to sing for the packed arena. Luckily this allowed her sister to have the camera ready to upload the crowd’s reaction.
The 21-year-old stunned the giant venue, and after a moment’s trepidation they went wild. Can you imagine a better experience when going to your idol’s concert? The nerves were obviously high, but Erin shook them off to give a rousing performance to rival the Buble himself!
Erin Bellucci sang her favourite shower song “At Last” by Etta James perfectly, to the delight of the audience. But just wait for Michael Buble’s reaction.
His genuine surprise at her suggests that this was not staged, Erin wasn’t a “plant” as viewers have suggested, but she is studying music education at the University of Delaware, which goes some way to explaining her powerful vocal cords.
We’re glad Erin could overcome her nerves to show the world, and more importantly her idol, what an amazing voice she has. Watch the video for Buble’s reaction – he genuinely had no idea what was coming! What do you think of Erin’s performance? Let us know in the comments!
