In 2010, Chris Norton was paralysed from the neck down after a terrible football accident. For the eight years that followed the horrific accident, Chris has worked tirelessly to try and cope with his disability.
Chris worked hard on rehabilitating himself, adapting to his new lifestyle and learning to carry on with a positive attitude. Which he did.
In those eight years, Chris managed to adapt and not let his disability hold him back. Furthermore, Chris managed to fall in love. The pair were going strong and so Chris proposed to his wife-to-be, Emily.
Chris Norton was about to marry the love of his life, but there was one thing on his mind
Norton wanted to be able to walk his wife back down the aisle and be able to stand for the vows.
Chris Norton was given only a 3% chance of ever walking again after the football accident. But he didn’t want that to ever hold him back. So he trained; he worked hard at rehabilitating himself and exercising.
With Emily by his side for emotional support and encouragement, he felt more confident and really pushed himself to work harder.
The time had come, the big day where Chris and Emily would tie the knot. But will Chris’ wish have come true? Had all the training paid off? Either way, Chris was about to marry the love of his life and that was all that really mattered.
