Liz is a music and dance teacher at Jaykays Dance Company in Warwickshire in England, and she loves her job. She loves her students and they love her back. So when Liz and her fiance, Ollie, got married, he wanted to make them a part of their special day.
As Liz and Ollie prepared to exchange their wedding vows, there came a murmur from the back of the church. On cue, Ollie urged Liz to turn around and look up to the balcony. She gasped in disbelief and immediately started crying as she gazed up at her students. They had been hiding up in the top of the church the whole time.
Liz had no idea, but in the lead up to the wedding, her students had been keeping a big secret from her. Ollie met up with Liz’s students behind her back to arrange a surprise for her at their wedding ceremony.
Students surprise their teacher at her wedding
They learned the song ‘A Thousand Years’ by Christina Perri and practiced it to perfection ready for the big day.
“The children were amazing at keeping the surprise a secret!”
Needless to say, Ollie did a great job enlisting the help of her students to make their special day extra special. Liz was totally surprised and emotional, to say the least. It was a memory nobody who attended the wedding would ever forget.
