You may remember when we wrote about the dog who uses a leaf as currency, well this squirrel isn’t as law-abiding. This squirrel loves a 5 finger discount.
If you’ve never been to Disney’s Magic Kingdom in Florida, let me tell you, it lives up to the name. The place really is magical! Even down to the gift shop where anything can happen – in this case, a squirrel stealing peanut M&M’s was the main attraction for some.
Why spend the day foraging for nuts in trees when you could just help yourself to supplies at the gift shop. That’s exactly what this sneaky squirrel did. To be honest, who can blame them? They’d be much more appealing in a chocolate coating!
Nobody expected to see a peanut stealing peanut M&M’s
One tourist filmed the encounter on her phone. The squirrel hopped onto the counter while the shop assistants tried to shoo it out of the store. But that didn’t deter this furry felon, he spent a good while browsing for his favourite nut-based chocolates.
Clearly, daylight robbery still exists, who would have thought it at Disney’s Magic Kingdom?! I know I wouldn’t have. But this bushy-tailed beauty was undeterred by those trying to usher him back out of the store. You can’t hold back a hungry squirrel!
The sneaky rodent quickly found his chocolate of choice, picked up the bag and scurried out of the store as quickly as he could. You can’t blame a guy for trying, especially when his attempt is successful!
But the squirrel still managed to turn one of the happiest places on Earth into a crime scene.
Brianna Bradshaw, who filmed the encounter, uploaded it to Facebook and described the creature as a “cute little shoplifter.”
