14-year-old Leah Murphy was planning to go to a Pink concert with her mom, Debbie. The pair were the biggest Pink fans, and couldn’t wait to see the show in Brisbane, Australia. However, heartbreaking news struck the teenager.
Her mom suddenly died just weeks before the concert. Leah was heartbroken but desperate to go anyway. She went with her cousin instead of her mom because she thought her mom would have wanted her to enjoy the special moment anyway.
Leah’s family desperately tried to get in contact with Pink’s people to tell her of the news and see if Leah could attend a meet-and-greet or something. However, they couldn’t get through. But, on the day of the concert, Leah made a sign that she would wave towards Pink.
“My name is Leah — I’m 14 years old. I lost my beautiful Mum last month. I would LOVE a hug… Please!”
When she got to the concert, everyone around her lifted her up and pointed towards her in the hope that Pink would notice. And luckily, she did. But Leah had no idea what would happen next.
Pink stopped everything she was doing, stopped mid-song, and climbed down off the stage. She walked through the crowd to Leah and gave her a massive hug, telling her everything would be okay.
The legendary singer showed her kindness and made this little girl’s day. It made her feel so much better, and Leah believes that her mom was looking down from heaven and made this magical moment happen.
This little girl has had a beautiful moment in the wake of so much sadness. It’s all down to her hero, Pink, who showed her kindness when she didn’t have to.
