There’s nothing that gets you in the holiday spirit more than hearing a good festive song. Music is a magical thing and we have recently fallen in love with a reimagining of a beautiful Christmas song from a well known Christmas film.
But it’s not a film that you would have expected to have a song that sounds this beautiful. The film in question is How The Grinch Stole Christmas which starred Jim Carrey and it was released in 2000.
How crazy is it to think this film is 18 years old?! This film was a big part of my childhood at Christmas. But there was one song in the movie that was quite beautiful and it had a lovely message to it. That song was ‘Where Are You Christmas?‘ which was sung by little Cindy Lou Who, played by Taylor Momsen.
Pentatonix perform Where Are You Christmas? on a rooftop and it’s putting us in the holiday spirit.
The song was beautifully sung by 7-year-old Taylor and it was a very touching part of the movie. Now, the brilliant quintet has decided to create a beautiful vocal acapella performance of the song and it’s utterly stunning.
The song sees the Grammy-winning group standing on a rooftop in their winter coats as they sing their stellar rendition of the Christmas classic.
The group sing Where Are You Christmas? with such passion and ease and it really brings a whole new meaning to the song. It feels like a love letter to the season we all enjoy. Now I feel ready for Christmas!
I think you will all agree that their harmonies are utterly stunning. What a brilliant and soothing performance.
