Have you ever had a dating disaster? Maybe they didn’t ask you about yourself, or maybe they didn’t talk at all? They might not have been your type, or they might have chewed really loudly. There are many things that can go wrong on a date, or things just might not work out. However, what are the chances that over 200 dates would go terribly wrong? Well, that’s what happened to Elizabeth Hoad, a professional golfer turned model.
After 221 so-called bad dates, and four failed engagements, she decided to call it a day. Men were either mistreating her or things were going downhill, so she appeared on UK daytime TV show This Morning to explain her distressing situation.
She decided that she is going to spend the rest of her life with the one who has been there for her – her dog! She even went as far as to say that she would “marry” Logan, her golden retriever. We all love our pets, but that’s going a bit far!
The 49-year-old model spends a lot of time with her loyal dog when she isn’t working. “I’m not working at the moment, I’m with him 24/7,” Elizabeth told Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford on the popular TV show. “And a lot of my friends said, ‘Why don’t you just marry [Logan]?'”
Luckily, the show managed to host a big “wedding” for the happy pair. While not legally binding, the pair got a happy day! Hopefully, they’ll have a great honeymoon, too.
As silly as the ceremony is, Elizabeth is happy, and she saved Logan from an abusive home when he was six years old. So, he has a loving home and owner who will always care for him, and that is what’s important.
