The Older rescue dogs need to be loved just as much as the young ones, if not more. Sadly, with age not on their side and there scruffy long coats don’t really give them a fighting chance to get noticed and to find themselves a new happy home.
Well, that was until Mark Imhof came along, Marks a professional dog groomer and he’s on somewhat of a mission. He visits Animal Care Centers in NYC to give old dogs free baths and haircuts so they are given the chance to finally find a happy home.
Mark claims he was inspired by his wife to be “She didn’t want to see me go for another soulless job, and she saw the joy I had when I interacted with our animals,” said Imhof. “I have seen such transformations in almost all the dogs and it is so uplifting and I KNOW they will pay that love forward to their future forever homes,” he remarked.
