What’s your dream job? Astronaut? Doctor? Vet? Writer for Happiest dot net? Well, you’ve got a new dream job now. This luxury hotel in the Maldives is looking for an intern to look after their turtles.

Let me explain the job to you. Spend your summer lounging on the beach, splashing in the blue waves, and occasionally feeding turtles. Nature’s most chilled out and lovely reptile. Aside from the glistening ocean and beautiful beaches, all your accommodation and food is paid for while you’re there.

Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu is stunning. Seriously picturesque. The only catch is that the job is an unpaid internship for two weeks in August. However, with everything paid for, it is essentially a free holiday to the Maldives. You can’t complain too much.

You’ll be working with the UK’s leading turtle vet Dr Claire Petros, and will be involved with many aspects of turtle conservation and rehabilitation. You can enjoy feeding the turtles, cleaning tanks, and observing surgeries and medical procedures. But, don’t worry, you won’t need any medical background – you’re only observing. You will also attend rescue missions to collect turtles who need help and assist with the release of rehabilitated turtles back into the ocean.

As well as all the meals at the hotel’s restaurant (a full Maldivian cuisine buffet for each meal), you will enjoy the hotel’s best experiences. All free of charge, you can go snorkelling and enjoy a sunset cruise. You will also have to inform guests about the turtles and post updates on social media.

Apply now for the job of a lifetime!
