Going the extra mile for someone or doing a good deed goes a long way. Especially if you help out an animal who can’t speak for themselves.

A Good Samaritan saw a dog in distress and decided to share some kindness to help her out. The dog was a stray and she looked like she was about to give birth to a litter of puppies.

The kind stranger couldn’t bring them home so he decided to do the next best thing – he built them a shelter for the stray and her soon-to-be-born puppies.

The man managed to gather some basic materials to start construction on the small house for the canine family. He even gave them some home comforts; he put blankets inside the shelter to keep the new puppies warm.

The doghouse was placed against a building for some extra protection against the wind and rain and then he left it for the dog.

Naturally, curiosity got the better of him and he wanted to see how the mom and her new puppies were getting on so he went to check on them a few days later.

The Good Samaritan was not expecting to find what he did inside his makeshift maternity ward

Sure, he did see the puppies and the mother, they seemed healthy but that wasn’t all! It turns out that a grey stray cat had moved in too – with her 4 newborn kittens.

It looks as though the man had built a makeshift maternity ward for stray animals. There was no fighting, both the mother dog and cat were cuddled up with their litters.

Together, both species were working together to keep each other warm and comforted. It shows that compassion goes a long way and this dog saw another mother in need and welcomed her into the home.

“How cool. People gonna think I’m lying. It’s incredible to see. But look… It’s like a maternity ward in here”
