Lauren Daigle Sings New Single On ‘The Ellen Show’, Takes Audience To Church With Powerful Performance

By - 26th October 2018

I love finding new musicians to listen to and thanks to Ellen DeGeneres and her team who scour the web for talent, we’ve found a new singer that we’re crazy about.

The singer in question is somebody that wouldn’t normally be on our radio, but Christian music artist Lauren Daigle appeared on The Ellen Show to make her television debut. And what a debut it was!

The video went up on Ellen’s YouTube channel two days ago and it’s already been watched over 780,000 times.

On Tuesday, Lauren announced that she would be appearing on The Ellen Show to sing “Still Rolling Stones” from her new album, Look Up Child.

All at once I came alive, This beating heart, these open eyes. The grave let go, The darkness should have known, You’re still rolling stones.

For the lucky fans in the audience, they all received a free copy of Lauren Daigle’s album. I have to say, I’m quite jealous!

It’s not often that Christian music gets this level of primetime exposure in Hollywood. But when you hear Daigle’s vocals, it’s not hard to see why she’s broken through the mold.

However, it wasn’t all smooth sailing for Daigle as she faced some critique on her Facebook page with some of her followers angry that Lauren appeared on a show that was hosted by an openly gay woman. But sexuality has nothing to do with spreading her gospel message.

There will always be people who have negative opinions. But her voice is a true testament to her talent and that should be the focus. Go and have a listen to her now, I guarantee you will love her!

Don’t forget to watch Lauren Daigle’s incredible performance in the video below. Also, at Happiest we love hearing all of your opinions. So please let us know what you thought of the article in the comment section. ?
