The El Ateneo Grand Splendid was a theater in Argentina for over 100 years. You can really imagine going to see the ballet, opera, or Shakespeare in its impressive walls. Around the turn of the millennium, it had a brief stint as a cinema, before investors had another idea.
A publishing house teamed up with an architect to bring their idea to life, and the results are incredible. You can browse thousands of books in the epic surroundings. There is even a cafe, so you can read a book and have a drink. There’s really nothing that sounds better to us!
