4-Yr-Old Asks Dad What It Means To Be Homeless, Puts On Superhero Costume And Takes To The Streets

By - 11th May 2018

When you’re a child life is pretty carefree. You can play outside with your friends. You get the best toys and don’t have to worry about adult issues like paying bills or doing food shops. Bring on President Austin!

Austin Perine is not like any other 4-year-old from Birmingham, Alabama. He’s been working tirelessly in his spare time to help people out. Little Austin is a real hero. His selfless acts have been noticed in his local community and he’s become a local legend. Why? Austin lives life to help others and not for himself.

At least once a week, Austin tries to do his best for those less fortunate than himself. Austin Perine, better known as ‘President Austin’ – his superhero alter ego buys food for the homeless and delivers it to them.

Why does he call himself President Austin? Because he believes the president should be helping the homeless. Everywhere he goes, he likes to remind people of his mantra;

“Don’t forget to show love”

Austin first learnt about homeless people when he was watching a documentary about pandas with his dad. During the documentary, a baby panda got abandoned by his mother.

President Austin

Austin asked his dad what ‘homeless‘ meant and when his dad asked, the next question was ‘can people be homeless?’ That’s when President Austin decided to make a difference.

President Austin asked his parents to use his allowance and money for toys instead to go towards Burger King meals for the homeless. Not all heroes wear capes… But this one does!

Don’t forget to watch President Austin’s awesome good deeds in the video below. What do you think of Austin’s actions? At Happiest we love hearing all of your opinions. So please let us know what you thought of the article in the comment section. 🐝
