Pizza Delivery Guy Spots Family’s Grand Piano, Asks If He Can Play & Blows Them Away With Amazing Talent

By - 2nd August 2018

It was an ordinary night in for the Varchetti family. They weren’t in the mood for cooking, so they decided to order a pepperoni pizza from Hungry Howie’s for dinner. But they didn’t know they were in for dinner and a show. More specifically, they watched their pizza delivery guy play the piano when he arrived.

When their delivery guy appeared at their suburban home in Detroit, he brought them their pizza and noticed a beautiful baby grand piano in their foyer.

That’s a beautiful piano. Can I take look at it?

Intrigued, the Varchetti family invited him in to check out the baby grand which tends to go unused in their house. The pizza boy asked if he could have a play on it.

18-year-old Bryce Dudal had just graduated from high school which is why he was working as a delivery boy. He loved playing the piano and has since he was young, so he asked the family if they wouldn’t mind him having a go.

The family watched the pizza delivery guy play the piano and they were left in awe

Bryce sat himself down on the piano stool and began to play the third movement of Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata. The Varchetti family had no idea Bryce was a piano prodigy.

Bryce is a self-taught pianist and he played the well-known piece of music from memory.

When he started playing, I was surprised. I thought he was going to break the piano at first.

Dudal would listen to classical music for hours and try his best to recreate it on his keyboard and his aunt’s piano. Within a year or two, he’d learned most of the piece and he began to teach himself other songs.

It was a long process. You have to sit there and think and try to put it on the piano, piece by piece. I couldn’t read music back then. I would sit there and listen for hours and hours and try to figure it out.

We can only imagine that most of his customers were in for a shock when they saw this video go viral. Hungry Howie’s should start charging extra for Bryce to come and serve dinner and a show for his customers.
