Morgan Freeman is a man of many talents, most of which are to do with his acting and voiceovers. The man has the best and most recognisable voice in the business for starters. He is known for his performances in Shawshank Redemption, Million Dollar Baby, and Driving Miss Daisy. First of all, most people think of his performance as God in Bruce Almighty. Or his role in the Dark Knight trilogy. Okay, he’s been in literally everything. What I’m saying is, he is an iconic actor who has played some amazing and career-defining roles.

However, the Academy Award-winner has other things on his mind. Things like the decline of bee populations across the globe.

Bees dying out is a huge problem that the Earth faces in modern times. They polinate flowers and help the growth of flora all over the world. This in turn provides habitats and food for living creatures of all shapes and sizes, including humans.

Scientists suggest that bees are dying out due to climate change, or pollution could be another cause. However, one thing is for sure. Humans are the cause of the problem, and it is a serious issue that we need need to think about. Above all, this is something we need to do something about.

Due to this decline in bee populations, Morgan Freeman has come forward as the one to save humanity. He is turning his hand to the planet and turning his home into a beekeeping sanctuary.

“There’s a concerted effort to bring bees back onto the planet … We do not realize that they are the foundation, I think, of the growth of the planet, the vegetation… I have so many flowering things and I have a gardener too. Because she takes care of the bees too, all she does is figure out, ‘OK, what would they like to have?’, so we’ve got acres and acres of clover, we’re planting stuff like lavender, I’ve got like, maybe 140 magnolia trees, big blossoms,” Morgan told Jimmy Fallon.
