The man was there to get three months worth of medication, but when the pharmacist told him the cost of his medical supplies, he froze. The amount came to a total of $170 and it quickly became apparent that he would struggle to afford that much.
The elderly man checked if he had enough money to pay for a month’s worth of supplies. That’s when the unnamed woman witnessed the amazing kind act at Walgreen’s.
An anonymous woman stepped forward to the pharmacy counter and offered to pay for the elderly man’s medicine. The girl who was watching was moved to tears by the unbelievable gesture and took photos of the moment to share it on social media.
Now more people are coming forward with their own stories
Now that the sweet story has gone viral, it has prompted more people to come forward with their own incredible stories of human kindness. It just goes to show that there are many good Samaritans out there in the world.
A Reddit user named Joaniemansoosie shared their story of a kind gesture by a stranger that has stuck in their memory.
I had a similar situation, I had groceries and miscalculated. I had 60.00 on me and they rang up to 90. So, I had to put things back (which is always embarrassing, especially when someone’s waiting on you.) The lady behind me saw my embarrassment and said ‘Go ahead and put your things back, I’d like to pay for them.’ I said, ‘Oh, no, that’s okay, but thank you!’
So I paid for what I had and left. She follows me out to the parking lot with the items I had put back in a sack. She wants me to have them. I cry and hug her and thank her. When I get home, there’s a 100.00 bill in the sack. The amount of joy I received from this act of kindness made my day, my week, my year. I hope I can one day do this for someone.-Advertisement-
