Have you ever wondered if a Big Mac could be beautiful? Like, it looks pretty good on the adverts, but in real life, it’s always a bit sloppy and sad-looking. Without the expensive lighting and camera trickery, it just doesn’t look as good. Well, this Japanese chef believes he can turn anything into sushi. Naturally, he tried his hand at America’s sweetheart, the Big Mac.
Master Sushi Chef Hiroyuki Terada is one of the best Japanese Chefs in the whole world. He also holds the niche accolade of the most popular Japanese chef on YouTube.
“At age 10, Terada learned the basics of sushi from his father,” his YouTube channel says. “Then went on to attend RKC Chef’s School in Kochi, Japan from 1987-1989. He soon earned a nickname for his fast knife, attention to detail, divine presentation and ability to create new dishes and accents based on traditional Japanese cuisine.
“After graduating RKC Chef School, he was called to serve under Master Chef Kondo at Yuzuan restaurant in Kochi, Japan from 1989-1992. Mr Kondo is the master of Kansai style cooking, considered to be the high-end of Japanese cuisine. Terada earned the title Master Sushi Chef by becoming the standing head sushi chef & can serve Fugu (Japan Licensed) to the public.”
But now, he reached the pinnacle of his career. Now cheffing in America, he is attempting to turn a Big Mac into sushi. However, this is no easy task. As you can imagine, he does not allow himself any other ingredients. No seaweed, no rice, just Big Mac. However, he does add a couple of vegetables to his huge roll.
