Father’s Day is a special day for millions of people across the world. For many of us, our dads are role models and we can use this day to appreciate them. That was the case for Michael Gould of Auburn, Washington.
Back in 1998, Michael took a photo with his dad Officer Andy Gould. The pair were sat in his dad’s cruiser looking like they were having a great time.
“When I get bigger I’m going to be my Dad’s partner and catch bad guys and burglars,” Michael said. However, that was a prophetic moment. When young Michael grew up, he trained and became an officer just like his dad. Keeping it in the family!
And what’s more, for Father’s Day the pair recreated their iconic family portrait. And the results are hilarious. Bear in mind that Michael is now 6’7″ and you may get the picture.
“Recreating the photo 20 years later was a wonderful tribute to father and son,” the police department said. Don’t you agree?
The pair spent Father’s Day fighting crime together, but we hope they enjoyed each others’ company. And maybe they caught loads of “bad guys and burglars” too. However, we hope they get a day off together soon.
This is an adorable way to commemorate 20 years of fatherhood. But, it is also a great way to introduce the next generation of police officers. We hope everyone had a great Father’s Day. Tell us how you celebrated, and if you took any funny photos.
