There’s nothing sweeter than seeing multiple generations having fun together. Grandparents having fun with their grandchildren is a really sweet moment. But sometimes, their relationships can surprise you. Don’t believe us? Then you need to see this little girl and her tap-dancing grandpa in action!
10-year-old Maeve found an unlikely dance partner in her 72-year-old grandfather, Bill Jones. She asked if he’d take part in a tap duo with her at her summer recital. Surprisingly, he was happy to take part.
The dancing duo practiced an hour a week for six weeks at her dance school, the From the Top Dance Center in Reading, Massachusetts. And honestly, the rehearsals certainly paid off because the pair were sensational!

My mom says my grandfather loves to dance, and I asked him if he wanted to do a tap duel with me, and we did it. And it’s amazing.
The duo danced to Anna Kendrick’s version of ‘When I’m Gone’ from Pitch Perfect. Surprisingly, Gramps manages to keep up with the quick routine rather well. In fact, he even surprised the room with a swift cartwheel at the end.
What a truly adorable moment to share between two generations. We just hope they keep dancing together in the future.
