The Navy is always looking for some new recruits, somebody with enthusiasm, drive and a real ease at sea. But we never expected to see a baby seal join the Navy Seals!
His flippers are going like the clappers and he’s ready to march into duty alongside his fellow naval officers. Sure, the Navy Seal’s newest recruit might not be wearing the uniform or marching in correct formation, but he’s certainly got the charisma and drive.
This adorable little creature seems smitten by the naval officers marching into the ocean next to him. Naturally, the baby seal follows the troops into the water, looking up at them with such curiosity.
This baby seal seems determined to join the Navy Seals
The War Office Productions uploaded the extremely adorable video to their Instagram page with the caption “Show ’em how it’s done.”
You can see the US Navy officers taking part in a tough military exercise, caked in sand from the beach as they push towards the ocean.
Flopping and sliding along with the naval officers is a very inquisitive and cheeky baby seal who just wants to play and have fun.
Countryfile explained why the seals are curious creatures:
Wild seals are very intelligent, curious and have good coordination, learning tricks easily in captivity. They are highly curious and instinctively protective – there was even a case reported of a seal coming to the rescue of a drowning dog.
We can certainly see the curiosity in this creature’s eyes. Seals World also states:
They are very curious too which is why they will follow boats to see what is going on aboard them. This is a great way for those people on these ships to get to see the seals up close in their natural environment.
