They say you’ve got to be careful with what you say in front of youngsters as they’ve got a tendency to copy you. But it’s not just little humans that like to mimic adult life – oh no, elephants are pretty nifty copycats.
Little Suki is an adorable baby elephant who’s the youngest elephant at the Chai Lai Orchid sanctuary in Thailand where she lives. This little creature certainly looks up to her human helpers at the sanctuary.
In the video, an elephant calf can be seen walking around with her mom as well as a man. The guy keeps running and sliding on the wet grass and the little elephant seems very impressed.
Enjoying what she sees, Suki can’t help but run after her human pal and slide along the grass with him. Though Suki’s mom looks a little bit miffed about her messing around.
You can hear the elephant yell at little Suki each time she stops working after finishing each slide.
I don’t think a video has made me smile quite like this one for a while. It’s like watching two children playing and laughing together. It feels nostalgic despite being two different species playing together.
But that’s just a part of Suki’s charm, she loves running around and bonding with tourists.
