Amazing Children’s Choir Sings Beautiful Rendition Of “You Raise Me Up”

By - 2nd October 2019

It’s always a hair-raising moment when you hear an incredible singer. This group of children definitely provide the amazing goosebump factor whenever they sing. However, their particular rendition of Josh Groban’s “You Raise Me Up” is nothing short of incredible. The choir has a great voice, and their passion is palpable.

Josh Groban’s opera version of the song is the most famous, but there have been countless covers over the years. We personally think of the Westlife version, but artists range from Il Divo to Susan Boyle. This is definitely up with the best, maybe even the original! The kids are incredible. The lyrics are also very inspiring and empowering. The message is as true in 2019 as it was back in 2003. Take a look for yourself:

“When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary
When troubles come and my heart burdened be
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence
Until you come and sit awhile with me

“You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas
I am strong when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up to more than I can be

“There is no life – no life without its hunger
Each restless heart beats so imperfectly
But when you come and I am filled with wonder
Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity

“You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas
I am strong when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up to more than I can be

“You raise me up to more than I can be…”
