Losing a pet is difficult. They have often been by your side for so long and show you unconditional love. They are also just so darn cute. We love our pets like our family, and when they pass it is hard to take. That was the case for Ashley Lang, who decided to spread her dog’s ashes in his favorite park to commemorate his life.
She had known Wagner the golden retriever for 12 long years. They had spent countless hours playing together. He most loved one particular spot in their local park. His favorite games included fetch and just going for walkies. As long as they were together, they were having fun.
Sadly, Wagner passed away. Ashley was distraught but knew where he would want to be. So she went to spread his ashes in their favorite spot in the park. She asked her friend to take a picture of her doing it, as one final memory.
However, she was not prepared for the image that came out. As she threw the ashes, they resembled her beloved dog. Take a look for yourself.
“It’s pretty remarkable… The tail and the legs and he looks like he’s, you know, leaping to go up,” Ashley said. “Everyone keeps calling him the angel dog.”
Do you think this is a sign from God that Wagner is in a better place? Or just Wagner saying thanks for all the memories and treats one last time? Whichever it is, Ashley has a beautiful photo to remember her loving dog by.
