This is such a precious peek into the love between a mother and her foal. Here, we meet a gorgeous Paso Fino colt who lives on a sprawling piece of farmland in Texas.
Before the camera started to record, the colt’s mum had gone up the little stone wall you see towards the left side of the shot. Sure, it might not look like a daunting task, but the colt was still unsteady on his legs and uncertain of how exactly to mimic Mum’s giant leap. Poor little one.
Just as you believe the colt is going to give up, you can see his mum pop back into the frame to do what she does best… teach him how to do it just like her! She even showed him how to gain speed to make it up the wall. It’s a truly lovely sight to see.
according to TheHorse.com, mares keep close contact with all the infant to shield him from danger in the very first few weeks of her baby’s life. As he gets older, she might continue to graze as he snoozes, but constantly in close closeness… clearly, these two have a special bond that may last an entire lifetime.
