Video Captures Teen Throwing Tiny Kitten Into Lake

By - 22nd May 2019

How some people have the capacity for such cruelty is beyond us. Especially towards animals. Yet, we still hear stories about animal cruelty on a regular basis. This teen threw a gorgeous kitten into a lake, but he is getting his comeuppance.

The teen, now identified as Patterson High School student Garret Hailesenior, threw the kitten while his friend filmed on Snapchat. Whether it was a stunt for online attention or just a horrible joke, we don’t know. However, he knew he was on film, and relished in throwing the poor animal.

The video went viral – but not because people were laughing with him. People want justice for the teen’s shocking cruelty.

Nicole Pinheiro shared the video, in an attempt to bring the teen to justice.

“My heart, it just left my body,” she said. “And I showed my mom, and she burst into tears. She was like, ‘I can’t believe that this is the world right now.’”

Police say that people like Nicole sharing the video put it on their radar, and allowed them to bring the culprit in. They arrested the boy before school.

However, he will be charged as a minor because the video is more than a year old. This means he was only 17 at the time. Nicole, however, doesn’t agree with this decision. “At 17, I still knew what I was doing,” she said. “He knew what he was doing, you know. And even if he was joking around or trying to put something on Snapchat… It’s still wrong. Regardless if [the video] is a year old or today, he still did it.” What do you think?
