By - 10th August 2017

Watch as an entire herd rushes to greetings a new rescued baby elephant, named ‘Dok Geaw’ at an Elephant Nature Park.

The tiny elephant named Dok in the video is only one year old and was tragically orphaned. As can only be imagined, this was a traumatic time for Dok, but he could never have imagined he’d be greeted quite like this.

When Dok arrived at the nature rescue park in Thailand, he would quite understandably be feeling anxious and alone. But thanks to this wonderful herd of elephants who all ready live at the refuge, his fears would start to vanish.

During the video, you can hear the one-year-old elephant’s cry from across the compound. Then watch as they all come running to greet him their new child.

Once they get to calf’s enclosure, they push their trunks through the openings to give him some reassurance and welcoming pats on the back.

The excitement is as clear as day on this little one’s face and it’s giving us goosebumps. These elephants sure now how to perk someone up and welcome them into the family.
