Photographer Captures Tiny Harvest Mice Amongst The Tulips And The Pictures Will Make Your Day

By - 16th April 2018

There’s a lot of sad news on the internet that bogs you down and makes you feel a little sluggish. That’s not what we at Happiest like to see! Thankfully, one photographer’s handiwork may be just what you need to add some cheer to your day.

Miles Herbert is a British photographer who runs Captivelight where he holds workshops and photography tuitions for people interested in taking pictures of “birds of prey, reptiles, frogs and other beasties.”

Miles took some adorable photos of field mice in an indoor studio. “We provide a service for photographers looking for high impact pictures of the animals, and using a purpose-built studio means that we are not weather dependent. There is also an option to photograph animals outside if the client wishes, our other speciality is frogs!”

Nearly all the animals Miles and his team photograph are captive bred. The mice are bred to be released into the wild at a local nature reserve. Miles does this as a preference rather than disturbing wild populations. Captive bred animals are also more sustainable.

The mice get to enjoy treats during the sessions. The adorable little creatures love eating the stamens and nectar from the flowers.
