Dancing is a form of art which often makes us look on in amazement and marvel at the wonderful talent on display. There are many performances which we may watch in awe, but this dance is on a whole other level.
Fred Astaire once said that it was ‘the greatest dancing he had ever seen on film’. In the performance, the Nicholas Brothers, Fayard (1914–2006) and Harold (1921–2000) stunned everyone with their athletic and perfectly timed routine to Cab Calloways song, Jumpin’ Jive. But dancing aside, what’s perhaps most spectacular about the routine is that it was unrehearsed and was captured on the first take!.
The performance is taken from the 1943 musical film, Stormy Weather and when you watch the acrobatic routine, you will soon he why it is so highly regarded as the greatest dance in history. You can watch the video below and if you enjoyed it pleae share it with your friends. ?
