One talented young 12-year-old started an online campaign to meet her hero. After campaigning hard to get the chance to sing in front of her idol, one young girl finally got the result she had been waiting for.

Victoria Anthony

12-year-old Victoria Anthony from Vancouver wanted to get the opportunity to sing a Pink song to her hero – Pink. A bold request, but she wasn’t put off by the extremity of this challenge.

Victoria Anthony was determined to sing for her idol

Pink was performing in Vancouver and Victoria Anthony knew that this was her chance of a lifetime. To be able to sing in front of her in her hometown would be the dream.

Her talent was noticed pretty quickly on the internet. Victoria used the hashtag #VicandPink to drum up support in the hopes of getting her video tweet to go viral.

Victoria managed to drum up support from her brothers. The trio also recorded a funny yet very sincere message to Pink on Victoria’s behalf.

People were starting to catch wind of Victoria Anthony’s campaign. In fact, little Victoria even managed to get fellow Canadian singer Sarah McLachlan to campaign for her.

That’s right, Sarah – who’s also a fan of Pink – was more than happy to try and help give this little girl her big wish.

The big day of the concert came and Pink asked Victoria to make her way towards the stage.

“Are you who I read about on the news? Do you want to come sing something?”

Pink became noticeably choked up by Anthony’s performance. It’s amazing to see somebody get inspired by a musician, but for that musician to be inspired back by their love is truly incredible. Victoria, understandably, is over the moon with the whole encounter.
